About two years ago I went to Krua Kamon in Pattaya for a meal with a Thai friend. One of the dishes he ordered for us was a vegetable which was served with prawns. I quite liked it and when I went there again with some other Thai friends I wanted to order it again, but I could not find anything on the menue which might have been this dish, nor did it help when I tried to decribe it to the waiter and to my friends. I have never seen this vegetable anywhere in Europe and I have only ever eaten it at this particular restaurant. The vegetable is green and resembles something between asparagus tips and green wheat ear. It is definitely not asparagus.

Has anybody got an idea what this could be and knows the English and Thai names?
