Planning to go to Taipei for Holiday in Sept

Postby waytovietnam on 6 Aug 2009 8:52am

Hi,

I'm planning to go taipei in mid september for holiday but understand that it is the typhoon season. Anyone can give advice if its still advisable for me to go there? Will it be raining everyday there?

I think September-January is the typhoon season, why not try going there in summer season? I'm sure you will enjoy it in summer. ;) ;)

Central and Southern Taiwan has generally better whether than other parts of the country. That means it has more sunshine and less rain.
Winters in the north can be surprisingly cool. Typhoons can hit the island any time from May to October.

In summary October and November are probably the best months to visit the north. Any time from October to March is probably a good time to visit other parts of Taiwan.

Every place have their own specialty and Taipei is famous for its artifacts and artworks in the world. Travelers who visits Taipei can enjoy great variety of outdoor activities here like Hiking, cycling, Hot Spring, rock climbing, and much more. After all it is really a nice place for traveling.
